Holmes-Frost 01

Today the IceBridge team successfully completed the Holmes-Frost 01 mission.  Light winds off the continent provided perfectly clear and smooth skies for our survey today.  All instruments worked well, and we are poised to fly another mission tomorrow.  We are keeping up the flight tempo tomorrow and are hopeful that we will be able to fly our first ICESat-2 underflight over sea ice tomorrow.
Below are some plots of some large ice bergs overflown on today’s flight, some pictures out the window, and a summary plot showing the flight path and the ice elevations sampled during our flight today.
